The Tribunal is pleased to report that it has achieved a clean audit for the third consecutive year – and its efforts during the 2018/2019 audit cycle have been recognised at an awards ceremony hosted by the Auditor General of South Africa.
“We are most pleased to have received recognition from the Auditor General for the third year in a row. It bears testimony to our commitment to principles of good governance and sound reporting in the public sector,” said Tribunal Chair, Mondo Mazwai.
Last week, the Tribunal also won an award -- 1st place in the public sector category -- for its latest annual integrated report 2018/2019 at the annual Integrated Reporting Awards. The Tribunal previously received merit awards in 2017 and 2018.
Hosted by Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa in partnership with the JSE Limited, the awards have been rewarding excellence in corporate reporting since 1956 and offer an opportunity for a peer-on-peer comparison and measure of good corporate governance and risk management practices.
In September, the Tribunal also won an award for Best Annual Report from the SA Publication Forum, for its 2017/2018 annual report. It also received a merit award for its revamped website, launched in April this year.
