Heriot Properties Pty Ltd and Safari Investments RSA Limited

 

The Tribunal has unconditionally approved the large merger whereby Heriot Properties (Pty) Ltd (“Heriot Properties”) intends to acquire additional shares in Safari Investments (RSA) Limited ("Safari").

 

Heriot Properties is a wholly owned subsidiary of Heriot REIT Limited, a property-owning company which is listed on the JSE. The Heriot Group is a property holding and investment company that owns a diversified portfolio of retail, industrial, commercial and specialised properties in South Africa.

 

Safari is a property-owning company listed on the JSE as a REIT. It owns various retail and residential properties in South Africa that it rents to tenants.


 

A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S And  Senator International

 

The Tribunal has unconditionally approved the large merger whereby A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S (“APMM”) intends to acquire sole control over Senator International Spedition GmbH, Senator International Holding, LLC and Senator International Freight Forwarding, LLC, as well as their subsidiaries and affiliated companies, together with certain contractual relationships entered into by Senator Freight Services GmbH that are material for Senator International business (together referred to as “Senator International”). Post-merger, Senator International will be solely controlled by APMM.

 

APMM is incorporated under the laws of Denmark. It is involved in Ocean, Logistics, Terminals, and Towage activities and is active in air freight forwarding, inland transportation and harbour towage services. 

 

Senator International’s principal activity is the provision of freight forwarding services in air and ocean freight as well as contract logistics, packaging services and contractual warehousing services. In South Africa, it is mainly active through Senator International Logistics, which is active in the area of freight forwarding services in air and ocean freight, as well as contractual warehousing services, customs clearance services, and road transport.
