The Tribunal has unconditionally approved this transaction in terms of which U Reit Collins (Pty) Ltd ("U Reit”) acquired joint control over Collins Property Projects (Pty) Ltd ("Collins").
Prior to the transaction, the acquiring group was active in the leasing of retail and residential properties while the target group held a portfolio of retail, office, and industrial properties.
The transaction is found not to substantially prevent or lessen competition in any market in South Africa and did not raise any public interest concerns.
