Large merger Slip Knot Investments 777 (Pty) Ltd and Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd in respect of the rental enterprise known as Braampark Office Park Approved without conditions

The Competition Tribunal has unconditionally approved the proposed merger whereby Slip Knot Investments 777 (Pty) Ltd (“Slip Knot”) intends to acquire the rental enterprise known as Braampark Office Park (“Braampark”) from Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd.

Slip Knot is controlled by SKG Properties (Pty) Ltd (“SKG Properties”), which has interests in several firms in the property sector. The acquiring group’s (Slip Knot, SKG Properties, all the firms they control as well as the firms controlling them) business activities are mainly focused on developing and leasing commercial, industrial and retail investment properties including management of the properties.

The target firm is Sanlam Life in respect of the rental enterprise known as Braampark, which comprises office space located in Braamfontein, in Johannesburg.
